Stephanie Porter

Life can be hard and the weight of our burdens often keep us stuck or in a place of loneliness. Our feelings are strong and can dictate our behaviors; these behaviors can become destructive or confining. Stephanie focuses on cognitive behavior therapy techniques to help renew the mind and overcome strongholds to win the battles we face.
Stephanie began her journey as a counselor nine years ago when God called her to work with spouses of sex addicts through a 12 Step program of codependency. Looking back over life, she can see how God was planning and equipping her to serve His children. In 2009 she became a board certified life coach, providing life coaching in marriage, self-esteem, time-management, forgiveness, and recovery.
Stephanie is a devoted follower of Jesus Christ and loves God with all her heart, mind, soul, and strength. She is dedicated to honoring God and incorporates the scriptures in her sessions so that her clients will reach and know their God-given purpose, gifts, and talents.
Stephanie works with the following issues:
  • Women’s issues
  • Family and Parenting skills
  • Blended Families
  • Anger management
  • Anxiety, Depression & Stress
  • Marriage Relationship building
  • Marriage Crisis, Conflict, Communication, and Intimacy
  • Intimacy Anorexia
  • Effects of Pornography, sexual sin, and sexual addiction
  • Communication skill development

Stephanie graduated from Abilene Christian University in 1998 with a bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Marketing, and Advertising. This degree and job training has served her well through learning communication and conflict management. During her career she also worked in education, which provided her training when working with Children.  She is graduated from Liberty University with her Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy in 2017.
