 Jesus wept.

John 11:35

Not, Jesus judged. Not, Jesus condemned. Not, Jesus burned with anger. Not, Jesus developed a five point plan of success. Jesus wept. He cried. He felt emotions. He showed emotion. Publicly. He connected to someone else’s pain and sorrow and responded. The good news is contained in two simple words.

Misty L. Tabisula, LMFT specializes in individual, couples, and family therapy.
She is a graduate of Valdosta State University in Valdosta, GA. Misty completed practicums and internships in local school and clinical settings while completing her Masters of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy.
Prior to beginning her clinical education and career, Misty served as a missionary with Doulos Ministries in the Shelterwood residential treatment program for teenagers in Denver, CO.
This experience started Misty on her personal and professional path to help all people know they are loved by Christ. Misty began her clinical career as a social services coordinator in a residential foster home setting, working at the Georgia Sheriff’s Boys Ranch in Hahira, GA. After working with the Boys Ranch for three years, Misty met and married her husband, Shea, who currently serves as active duty in the US Air Force. Once Misty became a military spouse she felt she had gained a new family and decided to use her education, training, and talents to support other military families.
Prior to moving to Albuquerque, Misty worked as a Military and Family Life Counselor (MFLC) at Moody, AFB in Valdosta, GA. She used Solution Focused Brief counseling with military individuals, couples, and families with a variety of issues including relationship stress, crisis intervention, stress management, grief, occupational and other individual and family stress.
Misty utilizes a variety of therapy modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Emotion-Focused Therapy, and the principles of the Gottman Institute.
Misty provides a safe, nurturing environment in which clients can explore their life challenges without pressure or judgement. Her experience and training allows her to assist individuals and families as they journey through the process of identifying how life experiences have created patterns in our daily living.  Then this allows for learning to be free of the emotional burden that these experiences can create.
