Joshua 1:8-9

“Keep this Book of the Law always on your lips; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful. Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.”

Men, I invite you to meet with me so we can design (or re-design) your future.  The fact is most of us were not born with a fully developed ability to think strategically.  It is a skill that must be cultivated and practiced.  It is a skill that we can learn.

Unfortunately, some men do the exact opposite of thinking strategically—they consciously reject thinking about (or designing) a futureThis type of “cognitive confinement” can lead to sad outcomes: marriages fail, families fail, relationships fail, we fail, lives fail.

We are “thinking strategically” when we consider how other people will respond to our actions.  How can we tell which actions taken today, will yield the best outcome tomorrow?  In life, circumstances can change rapidly.  The capable “strategic thinker” must be able to respond properly and promptly. “What happens next” is where a truly powerful strategy emerges—or in some cases, does not.

The ability to change the plan, and make something good happen is what distinguishes genuine strategy. It is the dynamic of action and response that yields optimum results throughout life.
